Testing, and reactivating this list
This is in part a test message to check that my mailing list software
(majorodomo) is set up OK and catch subscriber email addresses that
are now dead, and also notice that I am reactivating the list.
In the past there was an increasing amount of spam on the list so I
reconfigured the list to be moderated; however I could never remember
how to approve posts so there was a backlog of post awaiting approval.
I have now upgraded my mail servers (exim) with spam-checking and anti-virus
software (spamassassin and clamav), and have reinstalled majordomo and
majorcool for me to administer the lists through a web front end. I
will be sending out some of the posts that have languished in the
queue, in some cases for months. Approval should now be much simpler
for me and faster for everyone. Depending on the amount of spam that
comes in for the list I may consider making the list unmoderated
again.
As to cronolog I will be releasing a new version shortly, courtesy of
Matthew Grosso.

Does Cronolog handel concurrance well? Like multiple virtual hosts =
writing
to the same log files (same cronolog commandline)?
Also I am reporting a possable bug. The following cronolog syntax should
work (according to my understanding of the documentation) but does
not.(split for readability)
CustomLog "| /usr/local/sbin/cronolog
-S /home/customers/ctgameinfo.com/logs/access_log
-P =
/home/customers/ctgameinfo.com/logs/access_log.yesterday
/home/customers/ctgameinfo.com/logs/%Y/%m%d_access_log"
combined
Using this syntax, access_log and access_log.yesterday both point to the
same file. Am I doing somthing wrong, or is there a bug?
cronolog version 1.6.2, Apache/1.3.28 (Unix), runnin on a recent =
version of
redhat.
